Simon Lizotte Signs 10 year Contract With MVP Disc Sports

Another Disc Golfer Enters the Million Dollar Contract Club

With the recent announcement of the departure from Discmania, Simon Lizotte announced this week that he has signed with MVP Disc Sports. This comes after not even a year after the contract extension was signed with Discmania that would have kept Simon locked in for the next 4 years.

Simon had a very successful 2022 season winning several elite tour series events on the Disc Golf Pro Tour including some notable victories such as the OTB Open presented by MVP Disc Sports, and the MVP Open at Maple Hill. Both events the title sponsor of his the destination for Simon.

Simon Lizotte Signs Big

This contract reportedly comes in at 10 years, 10 million dollars with no cap for extra incentives, sales or winnings. In addition to this and as a part of his new contract, MVP Disc Sports provided a signing bonus as well as bought out Simon’s remaining contract time with Discmania.

This makes Simon now the 3rd Disc golf player to receive a contract of at least 1,000,000 per year. The others notably being Ricky Wysocki and Paul Mcbeth.

Big Moves Coming At Discmania?

With this new signing, Discmania looses a staple to their brand and the future for their current pro lineup is now in question.

Eagle McMahon, the second in the pair of “Crush Boys” now sits poised as the clear top player for Discmania going into 2023. Could the next off season mean blood is in the water to snatch away another player? Or could we potentially see the next million dollar deal? Odds are we will not need to wait long to find out.
